Job
Description:
Immunoassay and Bioassay Scientist to work with a growing protein
therapeutics company in Boulder area. The successful candidate will
develop new immunoassay and bioassay methods for in vitro evaluation of
protein compounds in research and development.
Responsibilities:
Leading efforts in developing antibody and cell-based assays to measure
the potency of protein compounds
Evaluates relationships between physiochemical properties and in vitro
potency of protein compounds
Working with the Research Project Team Leaders to meet project goals
for in vitro proof of principles studies
Coordinates the transfer of in vitro potency assay to contract research
organizations
Create novel cell-based assays for the purpose of advancing protein
therapeutics from preclinical through to commercial stage;
Develop and support Bioanalytical Assays for non-clinical and clinical
studies which involves Biomarkers, Pharmacokinetics, and Immunogenicity
based assays using various technological platforms;
Perform assay method qualification and validations
Bioanalytical Project Leader handling multiple IND drug candidates and
development projects;
Provide bioanalytical technical support for assay troubleshooting
related inquiries between departments and sites
Qualifications:
This position requires a PhD in Biology, Immunology, or
related discipline with 4-8 years experience developing bioassays in
the biotechnological or pharmaceutical environment.
He/she should also
posess expert knowledge of Western Blots, ELISA, novel cell based
assays, experience with requirements for potency assays to support
regulatory submissions, and previous experience supervising research
associates.
He/she needs to be team oriented and collaborative, and
have business savvy as well as laboratory knowledge.
